Tullie Brae Band
Tullie Brae Band
The soulful blues singer and multi-instrumentalist credits her gift to her roots in gospel music, like so many great and soul singers before her. Her musical journey started when she began singing in church where her Dad was a preacher. She played piano, drums, bass and guitar and early on assumed the role of choir director. Her artistic reputation grew within the gospel community which led to touring professionally with gospel groups.

Not only are Tullie's influences steeped in gospel music, while traveling and performing she was influenced by the sounds of Blues, Soul, Country and Rock 'n Roll. If you were privy to Tullie's ipod "favorites", you would discover a broad spectrum of musical genres and eras. A few of the artists include Elvis Presley, Howlin' Wolf, Muddy Waters, Willie Mae "Big Mama" Thornton, Etta James, Tina Turner, Janis Joplin, Joe Bonamassa, Melissa Etheridge, India Arie and Paul Thorn.

You may have recently seen Tullie and her band on the Main Stage at the King Biscuit Blues Festival. You may have also seen her perform at the Garvin Gate Festival, The Juke Joint Festival, Smoke on the Water-Blues For A Cause and many more other great festivals. She has also headlined multiple club dates such as Hard Rock Café, B.B. King's, Slippery Noodle, B.B.'s Lawnside, Club Ebony while also performing on television and radio. While on tour she has opened for the Blues King himself, B.B. King, celebrating his birthday. Tullie has enjoyed sharing the stage with artists such as Paul Thorn, Taj Mahal, Bonnie Raitt, Ruthie Foster, Chicago Rhythm and Blues Kings, Bobby Rush, Cedric Burnside, Lightnin' Malcolm, Jimbo Mathus, Jimmy Thackery, Big Jack Johnson and Terry "Harmonica" Bean among many more talented artists. You will see and feel Tullie's heart and soul during her performances, whether it's her original material or a cover that has been "Tullie-ized".

Tempted Souls Band
Tempted Souls Band
Tempted Souls brings together a wide range of backgrounds and talents to play an eclectic blend of soul, rock, classic R&B, blues, and standards with a blues feel. Lil Red & The Rooster
Lil Red & The Rooster
"Excellent vocals backed by top-notch players, what else could one ask for? They have an obvious admiration and genuine feel for the blues. No bumps in this blues road as it is a seamless project that makes no wrong turns." --Blues Blast Magazine 2015

Lil’ Red found a French Rooster … Pascal Fouquet. This Rooster brought together some prize French Coqs including harmonicist Thomas Troussier, Bassist Jeff Vincendeau and drummer Denis Agenet.

These lean charming Frenchies churn out some fat traditional electric band blues including Jump, Boogie, Chicago, Texas, Post-war Rhythm & Blues and have been known to get a little jazzy always with a sheen of what Lil’ Red calls “punk blues”. Originals and covers of Memphis Slim, Magic Sam, Muddy Waters, Lazy Lester, T-Bone Walker, Little Willie John and Andre Williams.

This group came together for the first time in the studio for the recording of their debut CD “Out Of The Coop!”, then premiered live at Le Nuit du Blues in Caen, France to an audience of 1,200. These fine-tuned artists led by Lil’ Red have an itch in their tail feathers and are ready to crow!!!!

Now, Ben is a formidable musician performing on a weekly basis around the Greater Cincinnati area.

BEN LEVIN & THE HEATERS will be bringing the sounds of Chicago blues, boogie woogie and New Orleans to the Southgate House Revival. It will be a special show, with Roger Bates on drums, Ben’s father Aron Levin on guitar, and Chris Douglas on upright bass.

He will be touring Europe in Spring 2017.
Johnny Fink and the Intrusion
Johnny Fink and the Intrusion
Johnny Fink and The Intrusion is known as the “Best Kept Secret in the Midwest Blues Scene” among local blues and classic rock enthusiasts. If you ever happen to ask someone who’s seen the band play, you’ll likely hear of true musicianship and one helluva good time.

The band was formed in the winter of ’92 originally going with the name “The Blue Intrusions” with real-life guitar hero Johnny Fink pulling together a powerful 4-piece lineup of talented pro players through a diverse blues spectrum. They covered a wide range of blues, tapping the soul of the music from well know legendary blues artists. Jammin’ everything from the Allman Brothers to Buddy Guy, then swinging from Albert Collins to Lonnie Mack.

After two years of the band performing and crowd pleasing at well known local establishments like; the Local 1207, Allyn’s Cafe, Mansion Hill, Lucille’s, Burbank’s, several popular Foley’s locations… Johnny took over the reins. He led the band into a new era as a tighter three-piece blues unit. They expanded their sound to include subtle jazz influences, and deeper investigations into the sonic realm of the Fender Stratocaster experience.

The band sports over 30 years of overall professional musical experience, and each member shares an equal passion for old school classic rock and blues. Once you hear them simply open on a song, it becomes quite obvious that the band has talent, and true professional showmanship. They might not be able to maintain their local status much longer of being known as the best kept secret, it’s just a matter of time before every classic rock and blues enthusiast around discovers where “the real deal” offers up a great show.

Over the years The Intrusion has evolved and changed up like any band, which is inevitably par for the course. Fortunately and rare in the industry, the band has never experienced any dramatic road bumps or “breakups” throughout the years. No bridges were ever burned, no friends were ever lost, and they never skipped a beat. In ’05 they brought on the talented drummer Doug Moore, then in the fall of ’07 long time friend and too-cool bass guitarist Matt Newman joined. They are always around somewhere, rockin’ the scene at blues festivals, events/venues, and popular establishments throughout the Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky area.

Check out their upcoming gigs, then drop on by sometime too see for yourself why they’re called the best kept secret on the local blues scene. And don’t be shy about walking up too request your favorite classic rock song, or memorable blues tune – they know them all. There are also several original songs the band has produced, which are definitely worth a request.
