Lord Nelson delivers their brand of original Virginia Rock ‘n’ Roll through rowdy and engaging live performances. Two sets of brothers joined forces, pledging allegiances to the song and groove. Pocket drums, funky bass, dirty south guitar, and a greasy trombone power the sound of this 5-piece rock band.
Lord Nelson is a band of brothers from the heart of Central Virginia’s Blue Ridge Mountains. Raised in the woods in Nelson County, Brothers Kai and Bram Crowe-Getty started off playing music at field parties and jamming with older mentors and friends in the music community. Following in the footsteps of his American songwriting heroes, Kai started writing original folk and southern rock compositions enhanced by Bram’s swampy pocket beats. Just across the county line, brothers Henry and Calloway Jones grew up in a family of musicians. From singing in church, playing in the school band and jamming at bars, the Jones brothers developed a natural comfort for live performance from a young age. Gravitating towards blues and funk, they eventually brought their musical sensibilities across the county line, infusing with the Crowe-Gettys’ roots-rock and creating the Dirty Funk ‘n’ Roll that is Lord Nelson.
