Elijah Bedel and Sam Hibbard are a young and passionate duo of American folk musicians whose love for time-honored styles and songs is evident in the joy and reverence with which they play. A fervent belief in America’s diverse and rich musical traditions inspires their performance and they firmly endeavor to keep this spirit alive and resonating with audiences today.
With a repertoire of fiddle tunes, ballads, old-time banjo, early country, and more, Elijah and Sam keep their audiences entertained with a variety of moods and reflections.
Sam was born into an incredibly musical family in Ross, Ohio with roots from Appalachian Kentucky through his banjo-picking grandpa Charlie Hibbard and Elijah hails from the hills of the Edge of Appalachia Nature Preserve in Adams County, Ohio. Both now call the Cincinnati area their home and have been growing together musically since they first met in 201
