Analog Cannibal
Analog Cannibal
Patrick Hume, a musician and a native of Louisville, Ky., started a website called analogcannibal.com in the summer of 2014. This website hosted music written and recorded by Hume. By June of 2015 Patrick had over 50 songs under his belt and had put together a band to play these tunes live. The result was the first Analog Cannibal release, a CD called “Best of – Vol. I,” which is a collection of 11 songs from the site.

Currently, Analog Cannibal is in the studio working on “Best of – Vol. II” due out this summer on Little Heart Records as well as performing live in support of the latest release “Ohm: music for meditation.”

Dead Man String Band
Dead Man String Band
Strait from 6 feet under comes Dead Man String Band! A one man rock sideshow from Cincinnati, OH. This isn't the one man acts of the past you've seen before, instead it is a full on rock show with an arsenal of amps, drums, and a style that's truly unique to the Dead Man giving it the fan made genre of Appalachian/Delta Punk. Since it's creation Dead Man String Band has been wowing and captivating audiences with not only an amazing sonic display but a visual show made to grab the listeners eyes, as well as their ears. With a stage setup that has been referred to as "Looking at a science experiment" Dead Man String Band has created a sound all his own that will surely grab your attention.

Taking DIY to a whole new level is a phrase commonly used to describe DMSB's sound, presentation, theatrics, and energy. From being brought out on stage in a coffin, to simply slumping towards the stage stiffly, throwing the audience off, until the first notes hit and by that time their stuck to their spot on the floor. Brining crowd members on stage and making them play his drums is just another thing that makes this act unique. Crowd participation isn't just encouraged, it's almost forced to an almost comic like degree. The presentation is another captivating aspect. Dawning a mask fabricated from the same folks that brought you GWAR's props, when he walks on stage you know you're in for a crazy night. Finally the music styling isn't something most are accustomed to seeing. The hands are playing in the stylings of Doc Watson but the amps are in the tone of Slayer and then add the fact that he's playing a drum set at his feet. Don't let the low number of members fool you. This is a band as much as any other.

March 21st, 2015 marked the release of Dead Man's debut album "I" which was widely accepted with much anticipation. And that's where we're finding ourselves today. With a new album out and a promising horizon, the Dead Man String Band plans on becoming a force to be reckoned with!
Draculas
Draculas
If QOTSA - Songs for the Deaf and Soundgarden - Badmotorfinger met and had a baby, and then Black Sabbath - Never Say Die and Faith No More - Angel Dust met and had a baby, and then those 2 babies met and fucked, that's what our music would be.

Draculas are 5 brothers from other mothers that habitat various sparse locations along the Ohio River Valley. One time, lighting struck this gnarly old tree and we all made instruments out of it. Hallelujah, dudes!
ForestFox
ForestFox
ForestFox is a band that has existed in many different forms and variations over the years, exploring a vast musical territory with a style that is hard to pin down. Somewhere between surf rock and jazz. grunge and post-rock. funk and post-hardcore breakdowns. garage rock and mathy r+b. folk songs to a hip-hop beat. emo and psychedelic. smooth and chaotic. vintage and modern. You get the picture, ... See More

Ric Hickey
Ric Hickey
Ric Hickey is a wildly adventurous guitarist with a unique style that seamlessly blends Country, Blues, Jazz, Bluegrass and Rock with untethered humor and a deep reverence for American roots music and songcraft. Keith Richards meets Willie Nelson meets Frank Zappa.

A fixture on the Cincinnati, Ohio music scene for nearly 3 decades, Ric Hickey has been heralded as one of the finest guitarists the city has produced. While Hickey's blazing electric guitar playing is frequently compared to the work of Adrian Belew, Angus Young, and Jimmy Page, his acoustic instrumentals slash and sparkle with a wholly unique approach that has been compared to Leo Kottke and Michael Hedges. Hickey's acoustic vocal tunes cleverly blend Chicago Blues, New Orleans' Jazz, Kentucky Bluegrass, and the more traditional Country & Western sounds of Nashville, TN and Austin, TX.
The Spectacular Fantastic
The Spectacular Fantastic
The Spectacular Fantastic is back with another crunchy, catchy, twangy album full of the sugary hooks that you have come to expect from the Cincinnati-based power pop project.
The Whiskey Shambles
The Whiskey Shambles
About The Shambles
Hollering tales of murder, betrayal, debauchery, and long, dark Saturday nights of the soul. Stripped raw, bruised, and cracking a bloody, split-lip grin, The Shambles deliver a loud, belligerent style of demonic hill-stomp blues that almost . . . but not quite . . . betrays an air of subtle sophistication lingering just around the edges. “Rough garage rock & dirty basement blues that kicks you right in the gut bucket.” Whatever you call it, The Whiskey Shambles sure enough get asses shakin and heads rockin — and that ain’t no half-steppin! This is the hard part, nephew. Whooooo well well.

The Tale
One day and many moons ago, Brother James rolled up to Nathan on the street: “Hey, man, I was thinking we should do a heavy garage blues band. And drink. You wanna make with the deep pipes, the guitar, and the face?” Nathan shot back: “Sho ‘nuff.” Several years later they were still drinking, listening to, and talking about music, but hadn’t actually played a note together. Finally they sobered up enough to put together some originals. Nathan then woke up his old pal Aaron and said: “You wanna get drunk and pound on stuff?” Aaron explained that he was already drunk, so they handed him some sticks, and thus The Whiskey Shambles were born.

While recording their first studio album, they were drawn to Miss LaTanya’s angelic voice, and after just one session the boys begged LaTanya to join the group. Bringing both her sassy stage presence and classical training to the mix, she simultaneously saved them from mutually assured destruction and raised the collective sobriety level of the group, slightly. And thus The Shambles were complete.

More recently, Aaron has been feeling the ravages of time and self-abuse, and after several shoulder surgeries, is on the road to recovery. In the meantime we fell in with a hip skins man, Tim, who we’ve decided to Shanghai and keep around after Aaron’s back on the kit. In addition to occasionally filling in on drums, Tim will be playing a myriad of roles, from organist, to percussionist, to vocalist… that’s a lot of -ists, but we think he can handle it.

The Now
The Whiskey Shambles are currently working their way through the dive bars and juke joints of the Midwest and Rustbelt, with occasional trips to more exotic locales, like Nashville or Buffalo, New Orleans or Asheville, Atlanta or NYC. They won the 2014 Northeast Ohio Blues Challenge, and represented Northeast Ohio at the 2015 International Blues Challenge in Memphis. The band headlined two showcases at the 2015 Millennium Music Conference near Philadelphia, and were invited to showcase at the 2015 Singer-Songwriter of Cape May conference in southern New Jersey, and the 2015 NXNE conference in Toronto.

In addition to winning the 2016 & 2015 Cincinnati Entertainment Award for Best Blues Act (for which they were also nominated in 2014), they were also nominated for Best Live Act in 2016, as well as CityBeat magazine’s Best of Cincinnati (Best Original Band) in 2016, 2015, & 2014, and several of their song releases have earned critical acclaim.

In 2012 The Whiskey Shambles released the EP, “Live at Mad Frog.” September 2014 saw the release of a second live EP, “Stumbling Toward Beale Street.” Their first LP “Loose Change for a Broken Man” was released in November, shortly thereafter was named #23 on WNKU’s Top 89 Albums of 2014, and is getting regular airplay on college and AAA radio stations. The Shambles are already working on their second full-length album, with plans to release it in spring of 2016.

Brad Thacker
Brad Thacker
Bearded, lanky, and with a quavering voice that perfectly matches his playfully angry demeanor, Brad Thacker is just the sort of rock n’ roll antihero that comedy has been hunting for. Born and raised in dreary Lawrenceburg, IN, Brad could have easily followed a meaningless path and become the quintessential small town burnout. Instead, he found his escape through heavy metal and stand-up comedy, created a rock-influenced act that mixes personal revelations with social commentary and earned himself the opportunity to work with legendary performers like Dave Attell, Doug Stanhope, and Dave Chappelle. Always willing to assist those in need, Brad regularly sets up fundraising shows to benefit local charities and social causes, including his longtime efforts to help free the West Memphis Three. His radio broadcasting degree was put to good use when he co-hosted “The Openers,” which aired for several years on Cincinnati, OH’s popular WAIF FM. However, it’s likely that none of Brad’s radio experiences prepared him for the all-out insanity he faced when touring the country with Beetlejuice, The Iron Sheik, and the rest of Howard Stern’s “Killers of Comedy.” It’s often said that comedians wish they were musicians. Someday soon, musicians will wish they were Brad Thacker.
