Speakeasy Night
Speakeasy Night
Prohibition in the United States was a nationwide constitutional ban on the production, importation, transportation and sale of alcoholic beverages that remained in place from 1920 to 1933.

The U.S. Senate proposed the Eighteenth Amendment on December 18, 1917, and the country went dry on January 17, 1920.

On January 20th, almost 98 years to the date of the start of the Prohibition Era, The Southgate House Revival becomes a Speakeasy and invites you to come celebrate like it was 1920!

There will be a special menu of Prohibition Era Cocktails to serve your thirsty dapper and flapper needs... just don't tell the Fuzz!

Attendees are encouraged to come dressed from the era, or your favorite vintage clothing, but it is not required.

Mickey James & the Queen City Crew will be putting on an amazing musical performance, The Cincinnati Lindy Society will be providing beginner swing dancing lessons on the large dance floor, and the Queen City Victory Dames (a family friendly public service pin-up group) will be taking pictures and selling hair flowers, fascinators, etc during the night and all proceeds go to veterans charities! http://victorydames.weebly.com/

Photo Booth: Framed photos may be purchased on the spot or online prints will be available as well!
