Marshall Crenshaw y Los Straitjackets
Marshall Crenshaw y Los Straitjackets
Marshall Crenshaw y Los Straitjackets combines the shared sensibilities of a pop-rock maestro & a band of guitar-wielding masked marauders.

Marshall Crenshaw learned to tune a guitar at age ten and has been making music ever since. His first big break came in 1978 playing the role of John Lennon in “Beatlemania” on Broadway. Over the course of a career that's spanned nearly four decades, 13 albums, Grammy and Golden Globe nominations, film and TV appearances (Buddy Holly in "La Bamba") and thousands of performances, Crenshaw's musical output has maintained a consistent fidelity to the qualities of artfulness, craftsmanship and passion, and his efforts have been rewarded with the devotion of a broad and remarkably loyal fan base.

“Although he was seen as a latter-day Buddy Holly at the outset, he soon proved too talented and original to be anyone but himself.” - Trouser Press

Los Straitjackets are the leading practitioners of the lost art of the guitar instrumental. Using the music of The Ventures, The Shadows, Link Wray and Dick Dale as a jumping off point, the band has taken their unique, high energy brand of original rock & roll around the world. Clad in their trademark Lucha Libre Mexican wrestling masks, the “Jackets” have delivered their trademark guitar licks to 16 albums, thousands of concerts and dozens of films and TV shows.

“…novelty is a key ingredient, but it’s elevated by the band’s good-natured sincerity and skill.” –NPR World Café
psychodots are Cincinnati, Ohio's premier power pop trio, consisting of guitarist Rob Fetters, bassist Bob Nyswonger, and drummer/multi-instrumentalist Chris Arduser. Born out of Cincinnati's beloved Raisins and the world-travelling Bears, psychodots combine witty, heartfelt songwriting with highly skilled musicianship and electric live performances.

"In a perfect universe, the Psychodots would be millionaires and you'd know all their songs and Justin Bieber would just be some cute kid trying to date your daughter."-Rod Lockwood, Toledo Blade

"It was, in a number of words, a standard psychodots show, which means one of the best shows you'll ever see, local or otherwise. Long may they reign."-Brian Baker, CityBeat

Rob Fetters handles guitar and vocals for psychodots. He's an accomplished solo artist with two releases under his belt, "Lefty Loose Righty Tight" and "Musician." He's also been associated with artists/acts such as the Raisins, the Bears, the Cincinnati Pops, The Ohio Players, Nigerian Afro-Popster Baoku Moses, and Roberta Flack. When not on guitar duty, Rob runs an eponymous studio in Cincinnati, Ohio, and has won numerous awards for his compositional chops in commercial music. You can read more about Rob at his website.

Bob Nyswonger handles bass guitar duties for psychodots. In addition to his work with psychodots, Bob has released a solo album, "Deposition," and has played with the Raisins, the Bears, and the Graveblankets. He currently plays with Raisins alumni Bam Powell in the Cincinnati acts Bucket and Tickled Pink.

Chris Arduser covers drums, tenor guitar, mandolin, melodica, and pretty much any other necessary instrument for completing the sonic texture of psychodots. In addition to his work with psychodots, he's released three solo albums, "Hapless," "Hostage," and "The Celebrity Motorcade," and has also recorded five albums with his own band, the Graveblankets, and is a touring member of Blessed Union Of The Souls and Flying Underfground.
