“My grandparent’s farm is on Fulton Run Road in Pennsylvania. There’s over 100 acres of land and an old wooden barn ready to collapse. I had many coming of age conversations under its sagging roof.”
That part of the world has always been special to Tyler Strittmatter, the songwriter who performs as Fulton Run. He refers to this as “Eden” in his songwriting.
If you travel down Fulton Run Road further, you’ll wind up in the town of Fulton Run. A town that doesn't really exist anymore because the mining stopped.
‘Fulton Run’ felt like the right name because of the legacy of Tyler’s grandparent’s property and because ‘a town with no name’ is a song that basically writes itself.
